There’re many things we can’t do ourselves—— fix our cars, rewire our basements, and create beautiful native landscapes in our yards. Lucky for us, we found Mary Ann Curty, a native landscaper in the Portland, Maine area. In the short time we’ve known her, Mary Ann has made impressive ——and beautiful——strides in our forlorn garden. She’s perfect at returning texts and phone calls. Mary Ann is collaborative and so patient. We are lucky to have found her. Mary Ann blends humor, patience, and extreme hard work even in challenging weather. She’s discussed the plans she has for our space. We can’t wait!

All I knew was that I wanted a flower garden along with lush greenery in our small Portland back yard. I also knew I wanted the majority of the plantings to bloom white with some small splashes of purple. I did not know how to begin. Mary Ann took my few thoughts and ran with it. She is knowledgeable of what plantings will survive our Maine winter as well as having a great sense of placing them creatively in the garden. We are on our third summer season enjoying the garden which keeps getting better with Mary Ann's continuous guidance.
